A friend of mine is celebrating her 24th birthday today. And since I wasn't able to send her an SMS greeting for her birthday, I decided to create a post for her. The thing is, I sort of don't know what to write about her. Besides, I'm not really into this kind of stuff- it's a little to corny for me. haha! Mushy stuff doesn't suit me! Hopefully, Lilibeth would understand...
Betchai and I are friends for a decade now. We've been very close ever since. I can still clearly remember how we became friends...
It was on the first day of my freshman year. I was still the shy-type kind of girl at that time and it was Globelle and her who approached me first.. Though Globelle found another set of friends, Betchai and I just clicked in an instant. We also met new friends who became part of our memorable high school life.
Our friendship even continued until we get into the University. The truth is, she was the one who made me apply for UP. We even chose the same course and got accepted! However, at the last minute I ended up enrolling in another degree. LOL
As friends, Betchai and I have been through a lot. I'm just thankful I get to meet someone like her (hopefully, she feels the same way). I'm quite lucky about that fact. And even though we don't really get to see each other often, I know we still are good friends. It's just a shame that I didn't texted her earlier. She might thought I forgot about her 24th Birthday. How can I? I actually had set my cellphone alarm for this day or even if I don't I wouldn't miss this day!
===============
Betchai,
Remember I told about how I feel that things around me change and thought I had difficulty coping with it? Well, as I go through the photos in my usb, I realized not everything changes!

Rock 100 with Urbandub
I should have written about this last Monday but I was lazy enough to do so. After a long time my friends and I got the chance to spend time together. We went to the annual concert organized by our school organization, UPV-Marketing Society, Inc. This year is quite memorable since the University is celebrating is Centennial year . So, in connection with this, the concert was entitled "Rock 100" which features Urbandub (I wished it was Bamboo- I missed them na!).
Urbandub, though they're not really new in the music biz, I'm not that familiar with their songs. I mean, I knew them but I am not an avid fan and can't sing most of their songs. Among the songs they played that night, I'm only familiar with three songs, Guillotine, Evidence, and First of Summer. At that time, I thought, "so this is how it feels to go to a rock concert and you don't know the lyrics of even a single song. Damn, I felt ashamed of myself... or not! lol So, what if I can't memorize the lyrics? At least I enjoyed the concert, right? Though somehow I felt bad I didn't see him there. ;)P.S.
Thanks to Andie for the free ticket!

Rock Bamboo Rock!
It's been days and the concert was over but I still in cloud nine! Can't get over the chance I got. I can't even forget what I said to Bamboo when he's about to leave, "Bambz, isa na lang..."! (Feeling close? Sorry, nag-stammer lang...) I can still hear Ira's voice when he said, "Nasaan yong camera mo?".
I'm pretty sure Edward will tease me with the "kurimaw" thing because of the photos. So what? At least I'm not into Cueshe (
Lastly, let us not forget Vic's advice: HALONG SA IDO...

Boto Ko, Binayaran Mo! F. U.
Monday was the most awaited day for most politicians and though I'm not one of them, I, too feel excited! I can still remember the first time I had the chance to exercise my right to suffer suffrage... It was the presidential elections and it was my first time to receive an amount of money from a politician, a congressional candidate for that matter. Actually, it wasn't the first... I already received Php50 when I voted for the SK Officials in our barangay but I never really appreciated it at all. Who would?
So, the last 2004 elections I received Php150 to vote for a candidate who was running for congressman at that time. Well, I'm proud to say I didn't for him!
Cool isn't it? Though the person I voted lost against him (Whew! life's not fair!)
Anyway, this is one of the reasons why I was excited with the midterm elections held last Monday. I was expecting another Php150 from the re-electionist... My relative got Php150 and some had Php200 but sad to say, there was no Php150 for me!
They must have known I didn't vote for their candidate last election!
Duh! as if I can be bought with only Php150! I wasn't born yesterday, Mr. Politician and family! I'm from UP and not from the school where you're father is from!
And in my own little way, I would start change and I hope other Ilonggos will be more aware that there are better options than what they have right now- YOU!
I suggest you should do better than that! Voters in Iloilo City are not all dumb as what you might have expected or thought of! Jerks!
