Bora's Aftermath

Its more than a week now since we had our two-day vacation trip to Boracay. Just like last year, we had a lot of fun! Our two-day trip was amazing. Saturday night was the best. It was my first time to watch a gig while raining. Thanks to Smart for bringing Kamikazee and Bamboo, I was able to stand there and chill, and sing with every one of their songs. I enjoyed every minute of it even though the guys beside me were drunk and smelled really awful (eeew!)! Jay was really funny and Bamboo? He rocked!

Sunday was at par with Saturday night though in a different way. It was one of the best moments I had on the beach! Not caring about what time it was, not caring about the fact that its noon and the sun was at its peak! We still enjoyed the sea and every single moment of it. I thought I would just worry about the effects of the the sun's rays on my skin when I'm back in Iloilo. lol

Are You From Here?

Okay. At last I found what I've been looking for. It's been weeks since I first saw this TV commercial and I find it really cool. I think Coca-Cola's ad campaigns have always been very interesting. It always imply something nice to its viewers- something which make them feel good. Be it about community, family, friends, or your special someone. It may not be as hip and young just like the TVCs of its direct competitor but I think the Coca-Cola's TVCs have always stayed in the viewers hearts and minds. Ads like famous Coca-Cola beat, "Soundtrack" and my personal favorites- the famous "Sundo", Coke's ad for Christmas of 2007 which by the way, really touch my heart and the latest ad campaign, "Ang Sarap dito".

Excuses, Excuses

Working in a graveyard shift is quite challenging since you get to feel sleepy during work most of the time even though you had enough sleep in the morning. This usually happens to me and it seems I can't control myself being sleepy (:| just like tonight. Even listening to Flo Rida's Low on my media player doesn't give me enough assistance not to feel like drooling so I end up opening my friendster account!:P

Having a friendster account doesn't only give you the chance to meet new friends online but also getting new strategies in order to deal with some of your daily routines. I received a message from one of my online friends, "Iloilo National High School" with the subject "10 Best Excuses When You Get Caught". I thought it was about getting caught while cheating at school.
What can I say? I once got caught cheating and was sent to the guidance office when I was in high school . However, after reading the message I realized it has nothing to do with cheating. I realized that its all about the 10 Best Excuses When You Get Caught Sleeping which, is very much applicable to someone like me and all those night shifters who tend to fall asleep (hmmm...you know who you are) and get caught by their PM's and Supervisors:P. I'm not really sure if these excuses are effective but who knows? 8-}

10. "They told me at the blood bank this might happen."

9. "This is just a 15 minute power-nap like they raved about in that time management course you sent me to."

8. "Whew! Guess I left the top off the White-Out. You probably got here just in time!"

7. "I wasn't sleeping! I was meditating on the mission statement and envisioning a new paradigm."

6. "I was testing my keyboard for drool resistance."

5. "I was doing a highly specific Yoga exercise to relieve work-related stress. Are you discriminatory toward people who practice Yoga?"

4. "Why did you interrupt me? I had almost figured out a solution to our biggest problem."

3. "The coffee machine is broken..."

2. "Someone must've put decaf in the wrong pot..."

And the #1 best thing to say if you get caught sleeping at your desk...

1. " ... in Jesus' name. Amen."

Let's Go LOW!

Since last weekend, I became addicted to the song Low by Flo Rida. It isn't just the song that I end up liking but the dance itself. If you think its the dance from the movie Step Up (just like what Edward said to me) then you're wrong. I'm just contented with what I saw on ASAP '08, the dance steps from UD4 and G-Force.

I know its kinda crazy 'coz this is the first time in so many years that I really wanted to dance and get into the beat... of Low! lol :P Seriously, to all of you who doesn't know, I dance... but, I'm not really a good dancer. Its just that I love to dance. 8-}

Jeez, every time I watch it I kinda go crazy of their dance steps. It's so cool especially the chorus part!

So, what are you waiting for? Watch the clip and lets go LOW!
low low low low low low low

P.S.
Actually, I think I can only follow the steps in the chorus part since its easier... :

Paghanduraw 2008

The long holidays are over. But I must say my Holy Week this year is kinda memorable. My family and I have been attending the live Via Crucis organized by our parish. This year, its more memorable for me because I had the chance to take pictures of the said celebration. For the last six years, there's not much changes in the presentation however, its still worth it joining the crowd to watch it.

Actually, I'm a bit more excited to watch the Live Via Crucis last Good Friday because I was expecting to see my friend's younger brother whom we asked a favor to bring with him the pocketbooks and vcd our friend borrowed from us. Sad to say, I never saw an inch of his shadow during the whole Via Crucis. Ugh! Whatever!

T'was one heck of a procession. It was a bit idiotic on my part that I wasted my time and effort bringing my umbrella (ella. ella) with me but opt not to use it. Even though I was well aware of how hot the sun was. Duh, me! And the result? I ended up mourning about how darker my arms were after the procession! I swear it was like the time I spent during our sportsfest in the University. Jeez, I wonder when it will return to the way it was before Good Friday... Sigh... Right now, the best thing I can do is just wait and consider it as part of my penance for this year's Holy Week.

I've got lots of things to talk about how I spent my holidays but it can wait... I'll probably post about how I spent my Black Saturday some other time...

Till now I always got by on my own I never really cared until I met you
And now it chills me to the bone, how do I get you alone
